Dr. Jenna Reiner is living an excellent life with a loving husband and a beautiful, intelligent little girl. Her life is the perfect ideal of American society but that ideal is shattered by the actions of one person. The scrub technician who has been infecting patients is capable of ruining the wonderful life that Jenna has made for herself and when things come out in the open they rarely go back into hiding again. Jenna is going to have to face the consequences of actions that were not her own but may cost her everything that she holds dear.
This was the captivating story of Dr. Jenna Reiner, an anesthesiologist who has just had her world broken to pieces. The storyline is fast-paced but everything fits together. There is no point where I was confused or waiting for action. This book showed very realistic characters that seemed to live a completely normal life. They faced the situation in a very realistic manner and it seemed to me that they followed through with everything in a very relatable way. I found myself feeling very strongly throughout the book. I felt sadness, excitement, outrage and tension right along with the characters. The writing was so strong. It is very easy to become absorbed with a book that feels real and has just the right balance of description and action and that is what I found here. Jenna is a realistic woman just looking to protect herself and her family but fate seems to have other plans for her.
