Jimmy Meets Mephistopheles by Krystal Kuehn is about guitarist Jimmy who wants to be a rock star and attain fame and glory. He is highly ambitious and wants to reach his goal at any cost because he knows fame could get him all the powers in the world - glory, women, respect, and money. The story is about Jimmy's meeting with Mephistopheles who drags him into all the bad things that prevail in the world.
The book is about a man's personal fight between the negativity within himself which raises its ugly head when he meets Lucifer/Mephistopheles. Jimmy sees himself indulging in all the bad and wild things after his meeting with Mephistopheles - drugs, sex and women. The book is a dialogue between Mephistopheles and Jimmy. The conversation is very casual and written in a manner of how two friends would talk to each other. The book is more interesting because of the dialogue. I thought it would have been a boring and a lecturing kind of story if the author chose to narrate it instead of having dialogue.
Jimmy Meets Mephistopheles also is about Jimmy's search for truth and God and his meeting with God and his discovery of love and worship. The story is highly inspiring and motivating for those who have been on the wrong track and want to change. The healing Jimmy experiences when he meets the Lord is powerfully conveyed by the author. It also ends on a positive note because even if you wrong the Lord, there are ways of making amends and changing yourself.
