"Jubilant Echoes of Silent Love" by Earline Pitts puts the reader into many frames of mind. There are poems for those who need uplifting inspiration and for those longing for teasing and adventurous play in the mundane normal life. Religion is a prominent theme in the poetry and readers will probably find the poems both uplifting and beautiful. With poems such as 'God's Forgiveness,' as well as those promising strength through faith, thankfulness for life itself and thoughts of how to go on through tough times, the book is a good companion for daily scripture readings.
As with many books of prose, one needs to be able to relate to the mood of the poetry. This is mostly accomplished well in this book, with only occasional lapses into more esoteric kinds of thoughts. One of the more endearing sections of the book was entitled 'Inspirations.' In this section, the author tells about how "Winters Come and Pass," and most readers will appreciate how the author's descriptions of nature's natural occurrences also parallel many of the experiences in the lives of ordinary human beings. Personal losses and remembering with love are gently and kindly handled as are issues relating to thoughts of personal unmet longings. This is one of those books you might want to consider on a cold and bitter winter day when nothing seems to be going quite right. After finishing the book, the reader will no longer feel alone.
