A young child to be sure, but one who is far braver than anyone else in her world, Kendra is a force to be reckoned with in Kendra Kandlestar and the Box of Whispers by Lee Edward Fodi.
Kendra is the type of person everyone wishes they could be. She is brave in the face of everything, she is a loyal friend, and she is not afraid to own up to her mistakes and be herself. Kendra Kandlestar and the Box of Whispers is the story of a young girl who sets out on an adventure with an unlikely bunch of heroes and becomes more than she could ever have imagined. This was definitely a book worth reading and I am very glad that I did. I feel that children everywhere could relate to Kendra and I know that I was really drawn into her story. Kendra, Gregor, Bumblebean, Jinx, and Oki are definitely friends I would love to have myself and they are worth giving a chance in Lee Edward Fodi’s book.
