In the late 1970s, a group of scientists left earth to form the lunar colony of Safety, where they could push the limits of science and create a superhuman race without interference. Now a threat is looming on the horizon that risks both the earth and the moon in the exciting science-fiction novel Leaving Safety (Safety Trilogy) by Philip Monnin and Sheena Monnin. Alana is a young colonist from the lunar colony Safety and is about to embark on her first earth mission. During her landing sequence, her module malfunctions and lands in Lake Michigan. Alana manages to escape without injuries, but when she tries to contact Safety, she only receives static. Left to fend for herself, Alana is confused and frightened. The errors that occurred to put her in these circumstances are unprecedented. Did someone try to kill her? If so, why?

Leaving Safety (Safety Trilogy) by Philip Monnin and Sheena Monnin is a fantastic science fiction novel. With a riveting storyline, an intriguing plot, and engaging characters who are genuine and easily relatable, it is an unputdownable book. Although at one time the scenario of genetically created humans and living on the moon might have seemed far-fetched, it is no longer so fantastical. With so many advances in the technological and scientific world, the story creates an authentic reality. Ending on a cliff-hanger, I can hardly wait to see what happens in the sequel. It is a spectacular novel that will delight readers who enjoy suspenseful adventures with authentic scientific foundations.
