Let's Visit A Farm by May Killebrew Hanna is an educational children's picture book. It takes children on a journey through lots of different farms, explaining how critical they are to our survival and the wonderful work they do. Every farm plays a role, and kids will learn that a farm doesn't have to be like Old McDonald's farm! There are farms for fruits, flowers, vegetables, bees, eggs, dairy, and lots more, and each chapter offers plenty of facts explaining how much of what we eat, wear, and use comes from a farm, be it directly or indirectly.
Let's Visit A Farm by May Killebrew Hanna offers kids a fascinating insight into the world of farming. Stunning, colorful illustrations by the author help tell the story, and each chapter describes a different kind of farm. Many kids have been taught that a farm is a place where corn and veggies are grown and cows, pigs, and sheep are raised, but this book helps them see that there are many different types, each with their own role to play in our lives. There is also a chapter explaining what agritourism is, a great way for children to truly learn what it's all about. This is a fun book that will help children appreciate nature and agriculture, and it's sure to teach them much about the world we live in and how we can help sustain it for many years to come. A fascinating book, highly recommended for all parents, teachers, and kids the world over.
