Reading can be so much fun, and it helps you learn a lot. In Terrie Sizemore’s Look at Me! I Can Read!, a little girl explores the wonderful possibilities found in books. First, she enjoys pictures that inspire her to learn more. Then she learns her letters and numbers, and she starts putting together words that match the pictures. The books gradually become more involved, and she learns interesting things about her world, special event days, nature, art, and so much more. Being able to read is not just about reading; it’s about a whole new world of adventure and excitement. In short, reading books is learning at its finest. Who wouldn’t want to sit down with a good book for both enjoyment, entertainment, and a learning experience?

Terrie Sizemore’s picture book story, Look at Me! I Can Read!, explores the wonderful world of books. Using real books as examples, the author allows the little girl to expand her reading skills and learn so much. The plot unfolds in rhyming verse, making this a lyrical adventure. The illustrations are bright, bold, and colorful, and the featured books add another dimension to the developing story. Also, the language used in the story is simple to help young readers improve their reading skills as they explore one book adventure after another. This is a great way to encourage young people to want to read, as well as allowing them to learn about some of the wonderful books available to spark their interest.
