Love and Happiness by Michelle Cuttino is a bittersweet journey to find happiness. Roxanne is no lightweight, but her fiancé Mark loves her just the way she is. She is the dominant one in the relationship and Mark seems to fall in with whatever she wants, sexually or otherwise. Suddenly, Roxanne’s stepsister Ayana, a woman she once had an affair with, resurfaces. Trying to get involved in a straight relationship, Ayana is desperate to escape the clutches of her current lesbian lover, a violent woman who is married. Royal Roaman owns a prestigious bar, but he hasn’t always been a legitimate businessman – maybe he isn’t now. What is his connection to Roxanne’s fiancé? Secrets are about to be revealed; secrets that may halt the headlong rush into disaster that Roxanne, Mark and Ayana are heading for. As everything begins to tangle together, truth and lies are exposed and futures are under threat. Someone may be about to lose everything they had ever dreamed of.

Love and Happiness by Michelle Cuttino had a little bit of everything in it – and I mean everything! I would say that if anyone is offended by graphic scenes of a sexual nature and bad language, don’t pick up this book! There are two stories here – the brash, outward, highly sexual characters and the underlying insecurities of people who really don’t know what it is they want out of life, at least until they are about to lose it. This was a riveting book, hard to put down, and it was clear that Michele has put her heart and soul into the book; it did show. Excellent storyline, I loved the characters and I think that deep down most of us can identify with at least one of them. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would definitely read more by Michelle Cuttino.
