Tara Taffera is a journalist living in Stafford, Va., with her husband of 23 years, and her three daughters. In 2020, she realized her dream of writing her first novel, Love Ordained. She has always loved to read, and anyone who knows her knows how fast she can plow through a good book. Her mother always says, how as a youngster, she was always asking to go back to the library for more books. She started writing Love Ordained more than 20 years ago, and she finally made it a priority in early 2020, and finished the book—a Christian romance. It was published in February, 2021 on Amazon in Kindle and paperback.

Love Ordained by Tara Taffera is a soul-stirring Christian contemporary romance novel about grief, healing, and forgiveness. Gina’s world comes crashing down when her beloved husband and daughter are involved in a fatal accident. In a tragic twist of fate, she loses the people closest to her, sending her into depths of grief unlike anything she has experienced before in her life. Months after their deaths, Gina continues to struggle to get her life together. Her anguish is exacerbated by her in-laws’ resolution to shut her out of their lives. The family that once welcomed her as one of their own has now shunned her when she needs them the most. Gina’s parents step in to support her and, with time, some of her in-laws begin to see their cruelty except her mother-in-law who still blames Gina for the accident.
I loved that Gina’s experiences are a real image of the process of grief when tragedy strikes in life. Her process of grieving is slow, gradual, but also hopeful. For months she grieves of the loss of her husband and daughter and her alienation from her in-laws. Gina shines in her ability to forgive and to let go despite been deeply wounded by people close to her. Other characters are also believable. Their faith wavers and sometimes they are unsure of what to do. The possibility of finding love again adds a strand of hope to the novel. Gina questions whether she should be with the man she is becoming attracted to. Their relationship encounters some discouraging turns but both remain hopeful. Love Ordained by Tara Taffera is an encouraging romance novel about finding love and hope after heart-rending loss.
