Rose wonders how love can be physically experienced with our senses. How does it taste, smell, sound, feel, and look? She compares it with her own sensory experiences involving her family and her dog. It reminded her of sweet, funny, ticklish, affectionate, and even scary memories. Still, it is only because of love that these moments made her feel good, happy, secure, and cherished. Rose asks if the love that her Mommy keeps in her treasure box is shaped like a heart. No, Mommy answers, it takes the shape of the person that she loves more than anything else in the world.
