Love You, Love You 'Night by Kristi Cromwell is a well-written book that offers children a comforting bedtime story filled with love and allows them to bond with their parents or guardians. It is Emily’s bedtime, but she is not ready to go to bed yet. She comes up with a few hilarious reasons to extend her bedtime routine so that she can enjoy more of Momma’s attention. The stars and the moon are out, and Emily wants to gaze at them. Soon after, she wants Momma to read her a book, and more requests keep coming. Momma, on the other hand, is patient enough to provide Emily with as many hugs as she wants.
I found this book absolutely entertaining and hilarious. I have been around kids for quite a while, and I can relate to the attitude they exhibit during bedtime, as described in the story. I commend the author for creating characters that are both simple and well-developed. I loved the discussion questions at the end of this book, as they made it more engaging for children. Also, the font style and visually appealing illustrations by Emily Cromwell made this book more appealing to kids. This book is a brilliant bedtime story and a means to help kids develop a passion for reading. From this book, adult readers can learn to be patient, loving, and compassionate with kids. The writing is well-paced, organized, concise, and easy for kids to comprehend. Themes featured include: love, family bonding, comfort, and more. I recommend Love You, Love You 'Night by Kristi Cromwell to all children and adults who enjoy reading children's books.
