Luminous Tapestry is a work of fiction in the urban fantasy, adventure, and magical realism sub-genres, and was penned by author duo Daniel Bispo and Drew Mathieu. The work is intended for the general reading audience and takes readers into an incredible world where the mundane and the magical live secretly side by side. Our protagonist is Charlotte, a young university dropout, who returns home to discover that her ability to see creatures that no one else can has not left her. Unique in her gifts, our heroine finds herself hunted by those who would seek her gifts for good or ill, and she drawn into a cataclysmic journey that will reveal secrets about herself that even she didn’t realize were there.
Author duo Daniel Bispo and Drew Mathieu have crafted a fascinating and genuinely original work of fiction with plenty of new ideas, plus realistic and logically penned fantasy lore to offer readers. One of the most essential features of this work was the talent the author team displays in world-building through such details as the structure and rules of Lethe Division, the limitations of Charlotte’s power, and the way the Hidden People operate in the plot in such a convincing way. I also found the world itself to be beautifully described to just the right level of detail, giving it an eerie charm but never overdoing it to spoil the mysterious effect. Overall, I would highly recommend Luminous Tapestry to fans of urban fantasy, magical mysteries, and for everyone seeking a brand new concept and exciting, original writing in these genres.
