Lunula by Alyssa Auch is the story of Wynn who grew up raised by two servants of the manor that her parents dropped her off at shortly after birth. Wynn was kicked out when she helped a man obtain evidence that somebody was doing wrong and she became a spy or a retriever of items. By using her special abilities, Wynn is able to do her job, and do it well. Wynn becomes mixed up in her queen's game when Wynn takes on a special mission from the queen to deliver something to the elves. Wynn's mission goes wrong when she finds herself held prisoner by Gethin, King of the Dristolians and the dark magic to her light magic. Eventually Wynn and Gethin join the same side and set out to destroy the queen and prevent her from completing her own mission.

Lunula by Alyssa Auch is a unique and enthralling book that has different plot twists and a story line that is awesome. Alyssa ties together mystery, espionage, romance, and fantasy with a range of emotions (or lack of emotions in one case) to link everything together and make the book that much better. Alyssa uses vivid descriptions that allowed me to see the book in my mind's eye. The characters are resilient and sometimes heart wrenching when their past or reasons for their actions are explained. I hope that this isn't the end of Wynn's story and that Alyssa Auch continues the story of the witch and warlock.
