Vanous is a lovely, lighthearted must-have children's picture book about a friendly ghost. Maddie lives in a town that was once filled with people but is now abandoned and in ruins. She and all the other ghosts are not spooky or scary at all. They're nice, friendly, and beautifully talented. While having fun playing games at the cemetery every night, the ghosts with special talents love to show off their fascinating tricks, including Maddie's parents. Unfortunately, Maddie doesn't know if she has any special gifts. She wishes so much to have magical powers like most ghosts have. However, she does love to do something when everyone's asleep and no one is around, something she once shared with her mother. Perhaps she does possess a special, ghostly gift? But what's it about?

Maddie: A Little Ghost with a Secret is a fun, engaging, and amazing ghost story that will undoubtedly delight little readers. Splendid illustrations with a touch of Halloween charm by Steven Stewart show a friendly spirit yet to discover her unique superpower. In their former mining town, Maddie is a young ghost with a special love for fun and games. After Maddie and her friends are done playing games, all the ghosts of the town gather together for a talent show, where everyone showcases their unique skills. Maddie's mom can make monarch butterflies appear out of nowhere, while her dad can make the stars twinkle brighter. Maddie always thought she was the only one who lacked any special talent, until she discovered her love for baking. Maddie loves to bake and share the fruits of her labor with her loved ones.
