Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte, illustrated by Steven Celiceo, is an adorable children’s book intended for young kids. Its main aim is to enable them to feel confident, positive, healthy, and happy. It is also to help them become happy and healthy grown-ups. It's a fabulous and comprehensive introduction to positive affirmations. It is a message and a self-regulation tool that will be useful to both children and adults as they read them together and practice making their own affirmations.
Magic Thinking for Kids by Marrielle Monte is an empowering and beautifully illustrated non-fiction book. It will help children take in their feelings and change them through a routine to be learned and repeated with the lovely characters of this opus (which will hopefully be followed by many others). The method is clearly explained to teachers and parents at the end of the book. I particularly appreciate the “Do It Yourself” section which enables our children to invent their very own affirmations, those they really need. It is a book that helps them become independent, positive adults. What else could we want for our sons and daughters? Being confident, ready to take on challenges, ready to learn, to study, to live a full and enjoyable life, ready to make the right choices or the wrong ones and change are some of the things this book will enable them to do. The author would like schools to teach those messages and I (as a teacher) could not agree more! Thank you for this gem of a book!
