Make Life Your Business by James Peterson introduces a very new concept in the area of personal development, self-care, and business — the idea that we can actually develop a business attitude towards life. But how is that? How can we make life our business? As I started reading this book, I became painfully aware that most of us invest a lot of energy, emotions, intelligence, and hard work into transforming our businesses much more than we do in connecting with ourselves, and this creates a lot of imbalances that lead to stress in our lives. This book offers a stunning antidote to the question of finding a balance between life and business, and offers strategies and tools that will help readers create space for personal growth which boosts their effectiveness in business and drives success.

In this book, readers will understand where they need to focus and how to make decisions that can transform their lives and business. The author writes with limpidity and eloquence, sharing insights and wisdom — his hard-won wisdom — with readers and showing them that personal change is possible, that it is necessary, and that it can alter their personal and business lives incredibly. I enjoyed the light tone, the clarity in language and expression, and the appealing voice. James Peterson is a great writer and he knows how to communicate his ideas in a way that ordinary readers can appreciate. Make Life Your Business is one of the best self-help and motivational books I have read this year and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking wisdom, happiness, and meaning.

Make Life Your Business by James Peterson is a book about making your life your business. James Peterson helps readers to take control of their lives as if it is their business. Peterson very intelligently draws attention to the fact that a personal life has a direct connection with a professional life. As long as we are happy in our personal life, our professional life will thrive. Not many of us take the time out to focus on our personal lives and we become more focused on making money. With his unique tips and methods, James Peterson teaches the reader how you are the owner of your life.

Much like a professional life, there is profit and there is loss, and if we value our talents we can be happy and successful in our personal life as well. Of course, the reader also gets to learn about time management and other things that help the reader to understand their true worth. In a very easy and relatable way, the reader is given the tools to take control of his or her life. Prioritizing and finding the middle ground is very important for a well-balanced life and author James Peterson gives readers the ammunition to make it happen.

What makes this book click is the fact that the author comes to the level of the reader, regardless of age or gender. His words are easy to digest, yet at the same time they leave a lasting impression on the minds of readers. Peterson is eloquent and friendly so that the reader gets maximum useful information that he or she can actually apply in their lives and see results. I found this book to be very helpful, easy to read, educational, and interesting.

Make Life Your Business by James Peterson is a motivational book on how to look at yourself as a product or service and your life as a business to achieve success and happiness. Make Life Your Business starts off with a brief self-introduction by James himself, and then moves on to explaining the basic idea that if we were to treat our life as we treat running a business, we would achieve higher levels of success and joy. In order to do this, James has outlined a step-by-step plan on how to fundamentally look at oneself differently in chapters such as product creation, developing a u.s.p., value including gain vs cost analysis, branding oneself, the sales process and all of its various components, finances and growing money, product improvement and innovation, and finally how to bring all of this together for ultimate life satisfaction.

Make Life Your Business is an interesting read and a novel concept. James encourages us to give the same thought, planning, and actions to our personal life as we do to our professional lives. The book encourages “out-of-the-box” thinking, which I thought was a great and valid point. Ultimately, it is about what works for each of us individually, whatever that may be, whether conventional or not. The writing style is casual and the fact that James directly talks to the reader lends a personal vibe to the writing style. I didn’t agree with everything the book discussed, but that’s just me and that does not take away from the message of the book itself. All in all, this is good and unique read that people may benefit from.
