Math Is A Blast! by Wendy Chen is a well-written book that teaches maths, numbers, as well as other mathematical operations, in a fun way to children through rhymes and repetition. Wendy starts by presenting the concept of math, which involves positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero. She also outlines a simple acronym that represents the order of mathematical operations, which kids can use to memorize and remember them. This book also contains some units of measurement and equations, the coordinate system, geometry, and trigonometry, among others. Wendy further explains the types of angles in a triangle and also gives the rule of Pythagoras, which can be used to find the hypotenuse of a triangle. In this book, children will also learn about lines and various shapes.

I did enjoy this book, and I would like to commend the author for designing it so that it focused on the cognitive needs of children, especially in developing memory and critical thinking skills. The font style, colorful pages, and illustrations by Jhunny Moralde were lovely, as they will engage kids' attention more and improve comprehension. The rhymes and simple sentences make it really easy for children to learn the basics of math. It featured themes on problem-solving, early learning, creativity, memory and retention, and more. This book would help children who are anxious and do not like math to become confident and love learning. The writing is concise, well-paced, and organized. I recommend Math Is A Blast! by Wendy Chen to all children and teachers.
