Memoir of a Jaded Woman: Tainted Love by Emunah La-Paz is an interesting memoir that showcases the painful reality of cheating. The freelance journalist delves into one of the painful issues that threaten millions of marriages across the globe: infidelity. In her inimitable style and in accessible language, she tells the story of thousands of women who find it hard to come to terms with the painful reality of their marriage. What happens when a woman discovers that the man she married, the man with whom she has shared the same bed over the years, is cheating on her and that the same man is cheating with a woman even less beautiful than her? Through research and conversations with many women, the author unveils startling truths about betrayal, abuse, denial, and offers insights to help women reclaim their inner freedom and dignity from abusive relationships.
In an age where marriage values are being replaced by the commercialization of sex and an ego-centric culture, Memoir of a Jaded Woman: Tainted Love comes across as a timely reminder that women are free to make choices and to create responses to marital issues that can threaten their peace of mind, health, and dignity. The story of Judie is one that many women will identify with, one with a reality lived by millions of women every day. Emunah La-Paz asks the right questions and offers answers that will come to many as surprising, but they are answers most people need for them to wake up. This is one of the beautiful books I’ll recommend for women in difficult marriages. Well-written, insightful, and filled with the common sense most of us fail to use.
