Milly's Magic Quilt (Humbert The Lonely Giant Book 2) by Natasha Murray is an adorable story for children where they are taken into Milly's world. Milly is looking forward to another adventure with her rabbit, Patch. Milly's magic quilt can take them on an adventure only if it's full moon. Patch is scared when Milly tells her that they are going to see the giant. Milly is confident that the quilt will take them only to safe places. The magic quilt lands them on the window sill of the giant's workshop. They go searching for the giant. They find him and learn that Humbert the giant is a lonely person. Humbert is the nicest giant Milly has met. He tells Milly and Patch his sad story. Read the book to find out what happens next.
The story is cute and charming, as are Milly and Patch. Kids will love the magic quilt and also Humbert the giant. The illustrations are lively and bright and enliven all the scenes, giving them a good pace and movement. It's a lovely bedtime storybook and can also be used for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries. Humbert, Milly, and Patch will remain in the hearts of young readers even after the end the story. The book will make readers imagine and dream of discovering new things and visiting new places. It's a story that kids will enjoy reading and they will all want a magic quilt like Milly which will take them on a new adventure every time.
