Mini-Droids and Tea is a romantic comedy by Victoria Bastedo. Penelope Carter doesn't want anyone to know that the latest female personal assistant Mini-Droid, Poppy, was modeled upon her by her former childhood sweetheart, Colepepper McSimmons, who designed the male counterparts in his own image. Busy with running her shop, Teacozy, her general ambivalence toward the Mini-Droids gets cast aside when, one day out of the blue, Colepepper arrives on her doorstep. Unable to forgive him for unexpectedly leaving her all those years ago, Penelope realizes that she still has feelings for Colepepper. Meanwhile, Colepepper discovers that the Mini-Droids are acting against their core programming. While Penelope starts a popular blog called Killpoppy.com., mysterious men follow her every move. Can Penelope get herself out of this mess? Will Penelope and Colepepper end up together?
A contemporary romantic comedy full of heart, humor, and intrigue, Mini-Droids and Tea is a delightful tale about the irresistible pull of young love. Penelope is a tenacious late-twenties woman eager to make something of herself who gets the shock of her life when her boyfriend from high school comes crashing into her life in the most extraordinary of circumstances. Author Victoria Bastedo infuses a healthy dose of fun and mystery into the narrative to make it all the more engaging and entertaining to read. The characters have well-defined personas and motives that explain their actions and make them easy to relate to. I had a wonderful time reading Mini-Droids and Tea. If you're looking for some laughs and romance, this is just the book for you.
