Molly: A Love Story is written by Dana Brackob and illustrated by Evgeniya Kozhevnikova. Molly is a sweet little Pitbull who was always happy even though she had been abandoned and was living on her own. A family that cared for her rescued and adopted her. Molly was happy with her new parents. She loved going to the parks, playing with her friends, and racing the golf carts that passed by. Molly becomes even happier when she finds out that Logan will be joining the family, too. But Molly becomes sick and has to go to the vet, only to find out that she has an illness to battle. Will Molly get better? How do she and Logan get along? Will Logan be as happy with the family as Molly is?
I thoroughly enjoyed Molly: A Love Story. This beautiful story about the wonderful life of a rescued Pitbull shows just how much love and light happy pets can bring to a family. I love that this story is based on a real-life family who opened their life and their home to the rescue dogs they adopted; Molly and Logan. The illustrations by Evgeniya Kozhevnikova are beautiful and give added impact to the story being told. I recommend Molly by Dana Brackob to young children who love stories about pets that teach valuable lessons about rescues. I hope to read more children’s stories about animals and pet rescues by Brackob in the future. This story will definitely be well-loved for years to come.
