Mondays Forever by Ron Young is simply a beautiful love story that stands the test of time, defies social conventions, and goes beyond to create a legacy that touches countless lives, opening doors of opportunity for many to dream, grow, and thrive. Jessica and Rachel are on their way to see their Nana, or Jaz, whose time is drawing near. She stepped in when no one else could after their Granny passed, just as they were about to be taken into foster care. To them, Nana is their last relative, making this visit very significant and emotional. What begins as a final visit soon turns into something far greater than either of them anticipated. From their mixed heritage to war stories, from the formidable legacy left behind by the women in their lives to the heavy expectations their own lives now carry, this is a story woven with resilience, honor, and the unyielding hope that one's life work will live on through the next generation.

Rarely do we encounter an inspiring love story lived far from the public eye, quietly unfolding in everyday moments, yet powerful enough to leave a lasting gift that changes lives and hearts for generations. I believe this privacy acts as both key and gatekeeper, preserving the purity of the love and shielding it from the world's noise, allowing it to blossom into something timeless and deeply meaningful. Who wouldn’t cherish having a secret to anticipate every Monday, something to look forward to each week? Author Ron Young provides a snapshot of Jaz’s life from the 1930s, through the Second World War, racial prejudice, the role of women during the war, culminating in her final legacy: her writing. These elements beautifully enhance Mondays Forever, adding richness and depth. Jaz transcends the role of just Nana; we delve into her character, battles, struggles, and the strength behind every decision. I relished Jaz’s story, and fans of historical fiction and quietly powerful heroines will undoubtedly feel the same.
