My First Farm Animal Book (My First Book Series 8) by D.A. Batrowny illustrates some of the many animals that can be found on a farm. From dogs and cats to chickens and horses, and with each animal comes a fun little fact about that animal. Did you know that turkeys have two stomachs? I didn’t know that. Come and learn more about farm animals in this enjoyable little book.
My First Farm Animal Book by D.A. Batrowny is a cute picture book aimed at really young children. This book keeps it simple using clear images of the animal but also adding an interesting fact. I think this is a really good technique when introducing young children to new concepts. The children will be able to see the animal and will associate the fact with it, which will then help them remember.
The book covers a variety of animals and birds including a turkey, donkey, horse, and sheep. It allows children to expand their vocabulary and differentiate between animals they might see on a farm instead of only knowing about cows or sheep. I think the author did a great job in putting this book together as it is to the point. This book would also benefit English foreign language learners who are looking to expand their vocabulary.
