Nadia's Obsession by Charles D. Martin is number two in the saga of Nadia. Orphaned and forced to grow up in deplorable conditions in a Russian orphanage, she escapes to the United States as a mail-order bride. She is both intellectually unrivaled as well as exquisitely beautiful. Nadia learns that her unique skill set gives her an advantage over the opposite sex. Under the employment of Olga, an ex-CIA operative, Nadia uses her talents to manipulate powerful men. She frequently finds herself in harm's way and must outwit those who seek vengeance. Throughout Nadia's Obsession, you follow Nadia as she struggle to come to terms with her yearning for love and emotional attachments, her budding friendship with Alexandria, and her struggle to balance her desires to remain strong and independent with her sexual yearnings.
Nadia's Obsession is a non-stop page turner! Once I read the first page, I was hopelessly entranced. Charles D. Martin has artfully crafted a captivating set of women in this book. Mr. Martin blends the perfect mix of intrigue, espionage, drama, desire and heartache to keep you yearning for more. Charles D. Martin obviously spent a great deal of time and energy researching Russian culture and exotic locations to ensure accuracy in his work. I could envision every locale he described as if I were seeing it for myself. I can't wait to read Provocateur, the first book about Nadia's adventures. I anxiously await the possibility of future novels featuring Nadia and her cohorts.
