Night Night, Norman is a work of fiction in the children’s literature genre. It is aimed at younger readers and was penned by Marie Dimitrova. The book follows the late-night adventures of Norman the horse and his curiosity about what his human friend Ellie does after saying goodnight. Escaping his stall and squeezing his big horse body through the door of Ellie’s home, his curiosity and clumsiness combine to cause a lot of problems that need to be fixed before he accidentally wakes Ellie up. Can he stop making things worse and put things right with only his hooves before morning comes?
This was a charming and imaginative story that looks at the bond between humans and horses from the other side of the aisle. Norman is a wonderful character, driven by affection and curiosity. Marie Dimitrova has created a charming and memorable animal friend for young readers to enjoy. There’s a delightful sense of humor in each line that brings Norman’s ill-advised adventure into Ellie’s house to life. This would make a marvelous and playful audiobook to listen to with children. The whimsical prose bounces off each page and makes it a delight to read, and I can easily see young readers having fun with this story and the way it is told. Night Night, Norman is an excellent book for children and would make the perfect present for aspiring readers in your life. I strongly recommend that you pick up a copy to share with the child in your life; they’ll surely be thankful for it.
