Our Calling: A Lucid Dreaming Adventure by Joseph A White Jr continues the story of Jeff who is now almost used to lucid dreaming and his frequent astral projections. However, that doesn’t mean he is okay with what he sees when he is projecting. Things change when Jeff’s lucid dreams take him to the South American jungle where he becomes privy to information Jeff is not meant to receive. Strange and dangerous drugs are being pumped into the United States and Jeff is the reluctant witness to it all. He doesn’t want to be a part of it, but when matters are taken out of proportion, Jeff has no other option but to get involved. With lucid dreaming on his side, Jeff has the power to stop the mess before it is too late. Will he do something about it? Or will Jeff be a silent bystander?

Intriguing and complex, Our Calling picks up after The Between State installment and Jeff is far more mature than he was; he has accepted his astral projection and lucid dreaming. Does it make him uncomfortable at times? Of course, it does. Does that stop him from working his butt off to stop the drugs from entering the USA? Joseph A. White Jr has created heaven for suspense readers who love a little tension and a lot of drama. The descriptions are fantastic, so much so that I felt like I was right in the middle of thick trees and standing among men with strange accents. Jeff journeys from a man who is excited yet timid of his lucid dreams to a man who is looking forward to solving a mystery. It is apparent that White did some deep research for this story and I loved every bit of it!
