Peace Dreamer: A Journey of Hope in Bad Times and Good by Cheryl Melody Baskin touched me to the core. It invites readers to grow to the full stature of their humanity by tapping into the core values that define who they are — social beings that can create spaces of meaningful encounters with others. At a time when peace is badly needed, this book shows a path that leads humanity to that place where hope drives their actions, where the desire for peace becomes the pulse of every heart, and where love is a quality by which we are identified. The book is about transforming who we are and the author shows readers how to work on themselves so they can become better people. Even in the midst of social challenges and political upheavals, we can make a difference by choosing the path to peace, love, and hope, starting with finding peace within us.
Cheryl Melody Baskin’s thoughts are insightful and I enjoyed the ancient healing techniques that are discussed and proposed. The seven chakras are made accessible to readers and in a way that they can easily grasp. The message of this book is enriched by real-life stories and readers will be delighted to meet characters like Tonia and to learn from the journey of this character. Peace Dreamer will help readers shift their perspective and focus on the direction in life that really matters. It is loaded with wisdom from the East and contains methods that will drive personal transformation and growth. While the author offers words of wisdom, she provides great tools for inner work. There are points and questions for reflection and exercises that will help anyone understand that building hope is essential to life and how to go about it. This book is a gift to be treasured and to share with others.
