A story full of dreams, love, pressure and faith, Sandra Byrd will have you laughing with this one! This is the first book by Sandra that I have read, you will now find this permanently on my book shelf!
In Piece de Resistance, Byrd's main character,Lexi, is in pursuit of her dreams as a chef. But, like a lot of us, finds herself suddenly in the midst of a complicated life, but she has an easy attitude about it. Torn between her French boyfriend and a local lawyer, things get really complicated really fast. Add her faith in God to the mix and Sandra Byrd gives us a delicious and witty book!
I enjoyed this book tremendously. Byrd's ability to transport me right into the bakery, where all the smells left my mouth watering, was absolutely phenomenal! It is a book that I rate 5 stars and truly recommend to all who want a great chick lit book!
