In Plotting Mr. Perfect, an amusing chick-lit novel by S.E. Babin, Katie is having a girl's night with her friends, who all insist that she needs to start dating again. After obliging them with a goofy visualization exercise, the next morning the perfect man literally drops out of the sky. But just because Leo is good on paper, Katie has to find out if he is what her heart really wants. Especially when there's a next door neighbor, Will, a laid back entrepreneur who seems to be the exact opposite of her list, but intriguing nonetheless. Now Katie must discover what she really desires in a tale of hi-jinks, high stakes, and love.

Plotting Mr. Perfect by S.E. Babin is an enjoyable read. The plot fits perfectly into the chick-lit genre. It's full of cute moments, wacky friends, and dashing male leads. Despite the slow pace, Babin managed to craft some interesting twists and truly laugh out loud moments, from Leo learning to be "human," to her best friend who is as wild as her curly hair. While reading Plotting Mr. Perfect, I often found myself thinking of the manga "Absolute Boyfriend" which follows a similar premise. I enjoyed diving into Babin's take on what makes the perfect man. A good read for fans of light romance.
