Set to rhyme and meter, Poo Brew: Tales of the Barn Owl Bard by Timothy Swiss is a hilarious picture book. It is sure to have kids and parents laughing aloud. It is a story of an unfortunate mishap in the toilet and the protagonist's quest to fix it with the help of his family dog, Zeke. They venture out on the farm armed with a shovel and Zeke’s powerful sense of smell to find the drain that might have gotten clogged. Will our protagonist and his trusted side-kick, Zeke be able to fix the smelly problem before it is too late?
Timothy Swiss’s writing style is engaging and easy to read, with a good balance of imagery and narration in meter and rhymes. What makes this story stand out is his exceptional writing style, which is engaging and easy to understand. He also employs humor throughout, adding to the entertainment value. The illustrations are colorful and whimsical, drawing the eye and capturing the attention of young readers. It is a slice of down-home life written in a rhyme with memorable characters and vivid imagery. The layout is also well thought out, with clear and concise text that is easy to read and understand. Overall, Poo Brew is a delightful children's story with an imaginative plot and endearing characters. I recommend it to parents and educators looking for a fun and engaging read for children.
