Quantum Terra: A Nick Shuman Legal Thriller is a work of fiction in the suspense, thriller, and metaphysical subgenres. It is intended for the adult reading audience owing to some moderate adult content and was penned by author Kirk Marty. In this second installment of the fascinating legal thriller series, we find ourselves back with protagonist Nick Shuman as he embarks on a truly existential journey when the reality around him starts changing to suit the needs of a sinister organization. What follows is a wild adventure with client affairs, media speculation, murder, mayhem, and a powerful mystery to which quantum mechanics may be the only true solution.
Readers looking for a complex thriller case to explore certainly won’t find a more conceptual and deeply considered work than author Kirk Marty’s latest adventure with an attorney that has certainly seen more than his fair share of trouble. One of the features which I especially enjoyed about this work was its sense of character and the narration that surrounds Nick, which takes command of the complexities of shifting perceptions but also keeps readers grounded according to Nick’s perspective on matters. This makes the whole concept a lot easier to understand, and I really felt closely connected to Nick as he tries to unpick exactly what’s gone on in the case. Keeping his grip on reality created some superb tension in the work, and the plot is truly brilliant if you stick with it to the end. Overall, Quantum Terra is a totally unique metaphysical mystery that comes highly recommend.
