Rage Against The Machine: Book one of The Given Path Trilogy by H. Meadow Hopewell is a captivating Christian science-fiction novel. One day, Roare Murdock, an Oscar-award-winning documentary director, discovers a note addressed to her from an anonymous sender. The note petitions her to research transhumanism. This is the start of the making of a thrilling film to expose a secret organization of scientists. They are hell-bent on replacing humans with soulless cyborgs. However, these evil masterminds are not going to simply allow themselves to be exposed without a fight. Fortunately, Roare has a supportive family, friends, and bodyguards on her side. But will this be enough to protect her? Will she complete and release her documentary, or will her enemies prevail?

I enjoyed Rage Against The Machine by H. Meadow Hopewell. The plot is highly entertaining and thought-provoking. I was forced to consider the possible physical and spiritual dangers of advancements in artificial intelligence. I became emotionally attached to Roare, her husband Wyatt, and her bodyguard, Sloane. They all faced real dangers. Aside from attacks from their enemies, they also faced family drama. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering them on. Hopewell's superb pacing of this novel helped to bring the action scenes to life. I also appreciated how the theme that God is in control was developed. Roare was led by the Holy Spirit through His Word and His people. As a Christian, it was uplifting to read about God protecting and directing His people to combat evil. I highly recommend Rage Against The Machine by H. Meadow Hopewell to all avid readers.
