“Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.” - Goethe. Relax Your Mind: Simple Meditation Techniques to Relieve Stress and Quiet a Busy Mind is a self-help book by health and wellness coach, Thomas Calabris. The key message that the author wants readers to know is that it’s up to them to make a serious decision towards restoring their bodies’ imbalances. Stress is a physiological response to a perception that something is going to do you harm, whether it’s real or imagined. He suggests keeping a gratitude journal to make notes of things to do as mentioned in each chapter’s Action Steps. Learn about the power of your subconscious mind and how to use visualization to get positive results. After following the meditation techniques in chapters like Relaxing the Mind, Abdominal Breathing, and Retraining the Mind, consider yourself off to a great start, living in the Here and Now.
“The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not into fighting the old, but on building the new.” - Chinese Proverb. Thomas Calabris has studied mediation for over thirty years and wrote this guidebook to share his love of natural, cost-effective healthcare solutions. It’s for people who are also looking to relieve stress, reduce blood pressure, and calm their minds. This guide is great for beginners, and some mind-calming techniques take only ten minutes. It’s great to practice these techniques even if you’re not stressed. You’ll be able to handle certain situations if they occur. I found the Action Steps at the end of each chapter very interesting. The chapter quotes are uplifting. Relax Your Mind: Simple Meditation Techniques to Relieve Stress and Quiet a Busy Mind is a short self-help manual that I wholeheartedly recommend.
