Rise of the Aranthians features the first three books in the Osric's Wand series by Jack D. Albrecht Jr and Ashley Delay, a fantasy series that will take readers to strange lands filled with magic and extraordinary characters. The Wand-Maker’s Debate features Osric and his companions on a perilous mission to locate terrorists who have disrupted the treaty that could have restored peace to Archana. Little do they know that they’d be confronting a darkness far worse than anything they had bargained for. The High-Wizard’s Hunt is a tale of intrigue, the struggle against evil, and the power of magic. Can Osric contain his enemies this time and avoid impending war? The Well of Strands is another fascinating read featuring the character Osric, whose faith in magic, and in the history of his people is tested.
Jack D. Albrecht Jr and Ashley Delay have created a work that will enthrall readers, pulling them in like magic. Readers are introduced to great characters, page-turning plots, and a fascinating setting — the imaginary land of Archana. I enjoyed the fact that these stories are conflict-driven, and although they fall into the realm of fantasy, they have many lessons for people of the real world. The characters are very real and readers will easily relate to them. The writing is impeccable, featuring very vivid and powerful descriptions and a masterful use of dialogues. There is much action to keep the reader busy following the characters. The stories are fast-paced and designed to have the reader turning the pages, longing to find out what happens next. It is impossible not to fall in love with the land of Archana and then with its hero, Osric. Rise of the Aranthians will be great material for a motion picture.
