During lockdown, while spending more time with her eldest son, his love of going for walks and fascination of cars motivated her to write her first children’s book.

Robin Walks to See the Cars, written and Illustrated by Claire Boosey, really appealed to me and will as well as to children with special needs. I read this interactive book with my grandson who has special needs as he is dyslexic and we really had such fun. The illustrations are so vivid and beautiful that young readers will love looking at them and seeing what they can find. The suggestions on each page will hold the child reader’s attention until all the objects have been found with lots of laughter and surprise when the object is found in the most unusual places.

Claire Boosey has created the most beautiful simple drawings that will attract the attention of any child curious to see what they can find in each picture. But the best part of all is when traveling in a vehicle, the game of spotting the car goes further and they will have such fun seeing how many colors of cars they can spot and which are dirty or clean. This book is one of the few interactive books I have found that makes a journey with an active child an adventure. This simple book with easy words and captivating pictures holds the child’s attention as they learn to sound the words and read them. Robin Walks to See the Cars is a must-read for any child who is beginning to read and any child with special needs. In fact, any child would love to read, play, and do activities with Mom, Dad, Gran, or a teacher. Thank you for this beautiful way to spend time with children and grandchildren.
