Sacred Sight by Glenda Love Durano is a memoir dedicated to God's love for His followers. It encourages us to trust Him, no matter the obstacles we face throughout our lives. Glenda's daughter, Amberle, was just 21 years old when a terrible autoimmune disease afflicted her skin, organs, and sight. Like any concerned parent and faithful Christian, Glenda immersed herself in an active prayer life, asking God to heal Amberle and restore her former health. Did God answer Glenda's prayers? He did, in fact, heal Amberle, but not in the way you or I might instinctively think. Does this mean that God is cruel, impotent, or unresponsive to our plights? According to the author's spiritual experiences, the answer is no. Through Glenda's and Amberle's synchronized journeys, we read about the magnificent things God was (and is) able to accomplish through Amberle. Most of all, we learn that God's timing is impeccable and often heralds the start of new, incredible beginnings.
Sacred Sight is a riveting and inspirational read that will touch the hearts and lives of all those who read about the Durano family's experiences. This memoir is a powerful, healing story about family, love, faith, and hope. It humbled me, and I'm sure it will inspire readers everywhere. This book interweaves memories, insights, and profound scriptures into a faith-filled testament of devotion to God and the wider community. Glenda Love Durano is an engaging and empathetic author who writes from the heart. With moving personal reflections, she guides the reader on a heartfelt journey fraught with sleepless nights, despair, anxiety, and fear. But through it all, her faith—and that of her family—undergoes daily transformative renewal. This memoir is proof that God desires to walk with us through our trials and bring healing, inner peace, purpose, and renewed growth into our lives. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand God's love, commitment, and perfection, especially in times of tribulation.
