Author Biography

Howdy! After adopting my new puppy Harper, I was quickly overwhelmed with the challenges of raising a "puppy on steroids". Together with my close friend, Debra Wagner, we published 'Rescued: A Tale of Two Dogs'. This marked the beginning of my passion for writing.
Born and raised in Germany, I have spent many years supporting my husband's military career. Moving between Europe and the United States, I now live in the small rural town of Elizabethtown, Kentucky where I enjoy the slower pace of small town living. Early morning weekend walks with my dog Harper are among my favorite activities.

Secrets in Oak Creek opens with Emily returning to Oak Creek because her aunt has died. As she is driving along, she is suddenly sideswiped and pushed off the road, causing her car to roll over and down a hill. Ryan is driving by and, seeing the whole thing, immediately stops and runs to help her. The two are strangers, but as Emily is being put into the ambulance she asks Ryan to care for her dog, Bentley. Ryan is attracted to the beautiful blue-eyed girl and, upon learning her identity, gets Bentley, a big lovable dog, and takes him home. Ryan feels led to visit Emily in the hospital and watch over her, and so begins their friendship. Emily soon becomes aware that the accident may not have been an accident after all, and she begins to snoop around town, trying to find clues as to why this happened. Already almost in love with Emily, Ryan becomes her cohort and then the mystery and action begin. I do not want to ruin the excitement, but urge you to begin reading this book immediately; you will not regret it.

Romance, mystery, suspense, animal rescue, excitement and so much more fill the pages of Secrets in Oak Creek by new fiction writer B.K. Stubblefield that it was impossible to put down. I found Secrets in Oak Creek to have everything a good book should. I was hooked from page one and absolutely loved everything, especially the final paragraph. This may be the first novel that B.K. Stubblefield wrote, but I sincerely hope it will not be the last. The writing was smooth, free of unnecessary sex, full of intrigue and suspense, and it was impossible not to find Emily and Ryan a perfect pair. The plot never waned and kept me glued to my Kindle in anticipation. Please do not pass up Secrets in Oak Creek; you will not be disappointed.
