See You Soon Broadway by Melissa Baldwin is book 1 of the Broadway Series. Marris Forrester has got it all – a fantastic life, an amazing job, and the best boyfriend in the world. She is happy, or she thought she was. You see, Marris has a dream – she wants to be on Broadway, ever since she first performed on stage as a child. Now she has to make a decision – does she stick with the wonderful life she has built for herself or does she give it all up for a life under the lights? When her parents tell her that they are moving, she finds a family treasure that was presumed lost. She doesn’t know it yet, but this treasure could be the key that opens the door to her future. If that wasn’t enough, a stranger enters Marris’ life and throws another spanner into the works. What will Marris do? Stay where she is or follow her dream?
See You Soon Broadway by Melissa Baldwin is an attention-grabbing story and, in some ways, it is one that resonates with many people. Most of us have had some kind of a dream in our time and so few have been able to follow it. This has a well thought out plot line, something a little bit original, and it certainly has some depth to it. There is lots of action and we are in for a bumpy ride as we follow Marris to the fork in the road – which one does she take? Ms. Baldwin has done a great job with the characters, giving us enough detail to get to know them and, possibly, setting the scene for the next book in the series. There is lots of emotion in the story, lots of ups and downs, and I really enjoyed reading it. I look forward to book 2 in the series.
