First of all, kudos to Xavier Neal for providing all 5 books in an amazing package - Senses Series Box Set. I’m in debt to the author for that. This review is going to be very different from my other reviews so fasten your seat belts, ladies, because this is one hot, angst-filled ride.
Blind is the first installment where we get to meet Logan (Mr. Hot MMA Fighter) and Maxx (who I wanted to slap at some points). They are best friends and Maxx is carrying a seriously big torch for Logan. In this novel, when Maxx finds her inner confidence, Logan finally realizes that this chick is actually pretty hot and he has some feelings for her. Deaf is the book where I was almost, almost cursing Neal. But I will not tell you why she got me this way because you will have to read it. Numb, the third installment, is all about Logan realizing that he cannot stop fighting, never stop fighting because if he did, everything he worked for will be lost. The fourth book, Hush, is again about Logan and his feelings; it is beautifully emotional and angsty and this book made me realize that I actually fell in love with Xavier. Savor, the final installment, was one major roller coaster ride. Logan is finally manning up and he is ready to take what he wants, Maxx and everything included.
Xavier Neal has made me a junkie. I am now waiting for my next fix which will be just as amazingly written, beautifully developed, fast paced and have characters that grow and develop right in front of your eyes, and make you smile and laugh and cry and curse and fall in love. Well paced and wonderfully written.
