Sentinals Justice is a work of fiction in the epic fantasy and adventure sub-genres and it serves as the third installment of the Sentinal Series. The work is best suited to the general adult reading audience for its mature themes and moderate sexual and violent content and was penned by author Helen Garraway. Continuing the epic action-packed adventures of the high fantasy world of Remargaren, we follow the events of this particular novel into the intricacies of the court of King Benedict. Diplomatic tensions result in a meeting between Commander Jerrol Haven and Grand Duke Randolf, with an unexpected guest along the way.

Author Helen Garraway holds a lot of information together in this massive fantasy world, and it makes for a truly thrilling setting filled with political and royal intrigue, interpersonal drama, and dangerous games of secrets, warmongering, and missing persons. I really enjoyed getting to know Jerrol and exploring the various pressures he was under in such a tense situation, but the character selection is so large that everyone will find someone they can relate to in the wider ensemble cast. The dialogue was also a big part of the engagement factor in this novel for me, as I felt like I got a lot of plot-relevant information from it which kept the novel pacey and interesting despite the epic nature of the overall story arcs. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Sentinals Justice to fans of epic fantasy and the series so far; you won’t be disappointed.

I am so thrilled that Sentinals Justice achieved a five star review from Readers' Favorite and a GOLD Medal in the Epic Fantasy category. Time to celebrate!

I love writing in the world of Remargaren and am very excited that the series will be complete as Book six, Sentinals Destiny, launches on October 11th, 2023, three years to the day I released by debut novel, Sentinels Awaken.

I hope you start The adventure today and stay for the journey. The Sentinals are a wonderful bunch and I think you'll fall in love with them too!

I received an ARC copy of Sentinals Justice and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Helen Garraway has exceeded beyond all expectations with this 3rd Sentinals book. Just like her second book, it continues the story from where Jerrol fought hard to save King Benedict in Vespiri, losing trusted friends in the wake of the destruction, finally seeing him travel to the Watchtowers to seal the Veil. There he encounters the Ascendants, who torture both Jerrol and Birlerion to try to forcefully induce them to tear the Veil. Through the ensuing battle, Jerrol is saved, but mutilated, as they removed two fingers of his right hand for his defiance not to tear the Veil.

In Sentinal’s Justice we see Birlerion now in the hands of the treacherous Ascendants. Also lost is Zin’talia, Jerrol’s Darian Mare. Compounding this are the nightmares Jerrol experiences from his time at the Terolia mines, where so many people perished.

The continuation of Helen Garraway’s epic tale takes us through deceit, hate, loss and finally war. We see King Benedict despatch Jerrol on a mission to Grand Duke Randolf’s Palace, Retarfu, Elothia. He is to take Scholar Taelia with him to research findings found in the archives of the castle, as well as to make peace with Grand Duke Randolf as troops gather on the borders between the two lands, ready for battle. When he arrives, nothing is as it seems, the old Duke is Dead, with his son now ruling, and with the Ascendants having a firm hold on the Duchy, mayhem ensues.

Jerrol fights hard with his conscience after speaking with The Lady Leyandrii, as She decrees just what he must sacrifice and undertake to save the Land of Remargaren, and the veil. As the story progresses more Sentinal’s are awakened, some hidden underground. Additionally, we also see the emergence of Lady Leyandrii’s two Sisters Marguerite and Asilirie, who play crucial roles in the unfolding story.

Both Jerrol and Birlerion have gone through a ‘mind’ metamorphosis where neither knows the other, nor themselves, and it is not until Jerrol, finds himself imprisoned, beaten and pressganged into the Dukes army, that he believes he recognises Birlerion. Jerrol, slowly realises, within his sub-conscious, that they have been reunited by chance or circumstance once again to pitch the final attack, but at what cost, knowing that the lives and minds of so many - including his own - hangs in the balance if they are to accomplish their goal.

At the end of the great battle, we see six Sentinal trees appear, standing shimmering on the Oprimere plateau, looking down at the destruction and devastation below. Here I defy anyone when they read this chapter of the book, not to shed a tear, because if you don’t, then you have no soul!!

Finally, it is not until the last chapters that you realise the enormity of what has taken place, and who is left standing to tell the tale.

Helen Garraway’s remarkable Fantasy book is a tale that could be set in any century, at any time. The vibrancy of her characters is such that you take them to your heart, and experience every emotion that they feel, and the power of her words is so spellbinding, that you slowly lose your surroundings, as you are encapsulated into this world, standing there beside these characters, being a part of this epic tale playing out in your mind.

I have tried my best to do justice to this amazing book, but to write more would only take away from the reader, the beauty and profundity held within its pages, as it is for the reader to appreciate and interpret.

Even if Fantasy is not the genre of your choice, I would challenge anyone not to be swept up into this story and the charismatic lives of the characters of Remargaren in ‘Sentinal’s Justice’. It will change your view of this genre completely, and leave you, like myself, wanting more.

An amazing read, and I highly recommend it.

I barely made it through book three as it captivates the mind more and more until you are living right beside the Sentinels. I can’t conceive the plots that may unfold in the next book and the last, but I know I will live along side them all.

The plot continues to intrigue. Excellent portrayals of courage, endurance, and tenacity. I liked that book three wraps up the story so far. On to book four.
