Inter-dimensional travel through time and space is no joke when Jacob Quigley takes on his uncle’s quest. Jacob returns to Serpents Keep, a walled town in the middle of the forbidding Outland, to accept the inheritance left by his uncle Tobias. Little does Jacob realize that his life will now be devoted to protecting the town - and the whole world - from an evil race from another dimension.

Serpent’s Keep by David R. Beshears relates Jacob’s adventures as he follows clues left by his uncle in order to find some artifacts. These, when put together, will open a magical gateway to a particular world that Tobias and others have been keeping hidden for many years. With the help of Mr. Griffin, the butler, Meara, a serving girl who knows the Outland, and amazing dragons who are guardians of some of the hidden artifacts, Jacob travels far and wide collecting the pieces to open the gate so he can prevent the Rhetani from coming through once and for all. Will Jacob be up to the challenge with so little information left by his uncle or will the ultimate threat be greater than he can withstand?
