The crime novel "Silent Slaughter" is a very suspenseful book of a serial killer and the police squad that is determined to catch him. The killer targets young lovely women to torture and kill. Lee Campbell, the police profiler, is the hero of the book and works with police officers who are interesting personalities. Lee's family is part of the story as well as the story of his love life. The police must find the serial killer before he kills again but the killer keeps eluding them and another body turns up, of a lovely young woman.
"Silent Slaughter" is a compelling 'who dun it" tale of a desperate chase by the police department, including Lee Campbell, a police profiler, who has demons of his own. His sister disappeared and is presumed dead. You will find the search for the serial killer of lovely young women fascinating as the killer eludes the police time after time. I think you will find Lee's personal life interesting and so do the men and the women in his squad who are so determined to catch the killer. Early on we see bits and pieces of the warped personality of the serial killer. This is a book that will definitely keep you up in the wee hours, wanting to see just what happens next and just maybe because you just might be a little bit scared. The author C.E. Lawrence has done an incredible job keeping the suspense going.
