Immerse yourself in the adventures of a cute cat and his best friend with Lorraine Abrams' Silly Cat and Friends Make Believe. A cat named Silly has a vivid imagination. Once, Silly climbed up a tree to look at the critters across the sea, only to realize later there is no sea in Tennessee. He has a best friend named Dainty, a dog with whom Silly loves to play make-believe games. While Silly pretends to be a dinosaur named Brute, Dainty acts as a labrador named Barksomore. But Grammie loves both of them for who they are. Silly has built a big Silly Zoo where all kinds of animals live. He and Dainty like to spend time in Silly Zoo and play their imaginary games.
Hop on for an action-packed ride and follow two best friends and their wild and fascinating adventures with Silly Cat and Friends Make Believe. With this wholesome children's tale, Lorraine Abrams showcases the power of imagination and demonstrates how we can have fun using our creativity and make friends along the way. Abrams' characters have lovable quirks and are absolutely hilarious. You won't find a single dull moment in the entire book. The author's rhyming verses are beautifully complemented by the vivid illustrations by Eva Vagreti, who breathes life into the characters and makes the story even more captivating to the young reader. I loved the friendship between Silly and Dainty, both of whom are adorable. Young readers who enjoy adventure tales will have a wonderful time with this picture book.
