What do you do when everything you love is systematically taken away from you? That’s exactly what Spectre Martin has to think about when first he is kicked out of his position as a pilot in the Air Force and then (a few years later) learns that his new job may be gone as well. To make matters even worse, his girlfriend of many years and fiancée of two has decided that now is the best time to break up with him. Things are getting worse fast when suddenly Chloe disappears and Spectre stumbles across her kidnapped family. But is there more to everything than meets the eye? Spectre definitely thinks so and in Spectre Rising he’s ready to get to the bottom of it, no matter what it takes.
This is a story of a man on a mission. He’s determined that everything that has happened to him was done for a bigger reason and he wants to find out what those reasons are. As a result, this is a story of a man not happy with what has been dealt to him and determined to do whatever is necessary to right the wrongs, no matter the cost to himself.
You can’t help being drawn into Spectre’s passion and his devotion to doing what is right no matter the risk. I was definitely intrigued by the great research that Lemoine must have done to write Spectre Rising. This book was definitely very intriguing and had a lot of action throughout. The information seemed very well researched and realistic yet understandable for the average person. Overall, I really liked the book and the action.
