The process of recovery from injuries or illnesses can often be an arduous one. Spirituality 201: Discovering the Inner Healer by Ivan Figueroa-Otero is a step-by-step guide to holographic healing and an advanced curriculum for holistic health seekers working toward helping others restore their health. In this second level of the School of Life curriculum, Figueroa-Otero delves deep into the root causes of diseases, explaining why the equilibrium of our health becomes unbalanced and offers in-depth insights to therapists on how to approach the recovery process. Aside from the therapist, the curriculum includes the patient, who is considered an ally in understanding the disease. According to Figueroa-Otero, interdependent and inclusive systems are less toxic than exclusive ones, and self-inflicted injuries generated by stress play a significant role in the cause of disease.
Ivan Figueroa-Otero provides a thorough and meticulously detailed explanation of the School of Life curriculum. Spirituality 201: Discovering the Inner Healer sheds light on the importance of bioethical philosophy in holistic healing practices and showcases the different methods and healing techniques to navigate deep-seated emotional wounds. At the end of each chapter, there are homework questions and exercises to ensure we fully grasp the contents of the related chapter. This is one of the most unique self-help books I've ever read. Figueroa-Otero focuses on the symbiotic relationship of the human body and its consciousness with the larger universe and how it affects us spiritually, mentally, and physically. A must-read for therapists and patients alike.
