Spirituality in the 21st Century by Frank Daversa is an inspirational book designed to guide readers to achieve a spiritually enlightened life in our fast-changing world. It contains fourteen chapters with titles like Want Versus Needs, The Relative Value of Success, Intolerance, and Levels and Learning. The first chapter is a synopsis of what the author refers to as spiritual growth, and the last chapter is a conclusion that wraps it up beautifully with a call for action. This is a practical guide for understanding spiritual teachings and finding meaning in your life. I found the five principles of spiritual enlightenment discussed in this book particularly helpful. This includes accepting God in your life and Jesus Christ as your savior, completing your formal education, and learning about yourself, the needs of others, and the natural environment. Reading this book teaches us how to be spiritually enlightened in the 21st century without being dogmatic.
Anyone on a spiritual quest to find meaning in their lives should read Frank Daversa’s Spirituality in the 21st Century. Easy to read and thought-provoking, the author posits that as we grow physically and mentally, we should also grow spiritually. He then presents innovative concepts for attaining spiritual consciousness in a world where material success is becoming more important and intolerance persists. Readers looking for an answer from the universe who want to begin to make soulful changes to their lives should find the book priceless. This is a book that just about anyone can make good use of because it’s designed to open the hearts and minds of readers so that their lives will be enriched in subtle but significant ways.
