Author Biography

Steve Meronek would like to thank everyone who has been kind enough to read his work. He doesn’t live a whole lot differently than some of the more notable characters in his books. He admits it has been a road less traveled, but worth every step along the way.

Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek is an unusual love story. Coco Stevens loses her father at an early age when he was shot under mysterious circumstances. Her mother sinks into depression and Coco ends up as an underage burlesque dancer in a San Franciscan Gentleman’s Club where she meets Sam Spielman, a handsome but dangerous underworld character. They fall in love and live the high life with Coco becoming a top model and a movie actress. Sam, on the other hand, is on the way to legitimizing his business and seems like he is becoming a respected businessman. The past, however, catches up with the couple and this will threaten the very foundation of their relationship. Will Coco and Sam learn to trust each other again as they confront each other's demons?

Fast paced and riveting, P.S. Meronek’s novel, Stay Another Night, is an interesting read. This is a character driven story that will certainly keep you turning the pages until the wee hours of the morning. Coco Stevens is a strong willed, intelligent young woman who is destined to reach the heights of success. Sam Spielman is an unscrupulous businessman who got to where he is now because of ruthlessness and raw intelligence. Understandably, when you have two strong personalities together, sparks are bound to fly. The story unfolds in California, Kenya, Nairobi, and Las Vegas and it is narrated in a format where the past and the present overlap each other. This element, together with the author’s straight forward writing style, makes the novel quite exciting.

Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek takes us into the seedy world of the Mafia and stripping. Coco is an underage stripper when she is brought into the realm of the dangerous and yet exciting Mafia. Coco has an undeniable charm that draws Sam into her circle like moths to a flame. It does not take long for Coco to begin a fast rise in the fashion world and she shows just how intelligent she is along with her beauty as she navigates the land of haute couture. We must always remember, however, what goes up must come back down especially when it is balanced on a dangerous sword blade.

There are many things to like about Stay Another Night, not the least of which is the writing that is eloquent and well crafted. You have adventure, danger, high class, and a lot of money all in the same book. Not to mention some romance and a hot lady. All of that adds up to what makes for entertainment when you are reading. It took me a little bit to get invested in the characters of this book, to feel like I was really part of the story, but once there I did not want to put the book down. I had a love-hate relationship for most of the book with the female lead Coco, but by the end I could understand why she made the choices she made. I recommend if you like an adventure with a little bit of everything else mixed in that you give this book a read.

After the death of her father, Coco Stevens turned to stripping to support herself; she was an underage teenager when she showed up at the gentleman’s club and took her place on stage as a dancer. Being young and beautiful attracted attention and made for a nice paycheck. When the police raided the club, she was sent home to her mother. The Mafia boss waited until she finished school before he approached her, swept her off her feet, and introduced her to a fast paced world of power and luxury. Sam took her under his wing and turned her into an international supermodel and an actress. Coco was more than a beautiful young woman – she was smart. Being the girlfriend of a Mafia boss is dangerous. Will a deep dark secret come between Coco and Sam? Read Stay Another Night by author P.S. Meronek to see if their love is strong enough to survive.

Stay Another Night is a mixture of thriller, crime, and romance. The author allows readers a glimpse into a dark, shadowy world that few have ever experienced. My favorite character was Coco; despite her past she exhibits intelligence, and became a commanding, powerful young woman who in some ways retains her innocence. Sam may have been a Mafia boss but he was gentle and loving in an unexpected way. Stay Another Night has twists and turns that kept me guessing what would happen next. The descriptions in this book are exquisite. The ending is pure perfection.

Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek is the story of Coco and her travels through life with her very first employer, Sam Spielman. The story starts near the end but goes back to when Coco was just 17 and illegally employed as an exotic dancer. A raid sees her lose her job and she goes home to her mother. This is just the beginning of what will be a roller-coaster ride for Coco. Contacted by her employer, she starts a relationship with Sam that takes her all over the world, through a career as a model and an actress. But, Sam Spielman is up to something. Why else would he be interested in a piece of desert land with nothing to offer? How does this tie in with the death of Coco’s father when she was just 6 years old? Coco is determined to discover the truth but will she like what she finds?

P.S. Meronek grabbed my attention with the very first chapter of Stay Another Night. It was one of those stories that, the more you read and learned, the more you wanted to know. An amazingly well written book, this had just the right amount of twists and turns to keep me turning the pages to find out happened. The flicking between past and present was done brilliantly with no confusion and made for much better reading than one based solely in the present. I think this would make an excellent movie; I would certainly watch it, and I really can’t wait to read more from this author

P.S. Meronek in Stay Another Night introduces us to Coco Stevens, a blonde beauty who is shrewdly intelligent. Her life begins with tragedy as her father is murdered right before her eyes. Her mother pays the price for the incident with depression and guilt. Seventeen-year-old Coco strips and hustles at a gentleman's club called Dante's to find freedom. She likes to buy sleek and fast muscle cars with her cash and she finishes college with a business degree.

Coco has caught the eye of the handsome and much older mobster Sam Spielman. Sam owns Dante's along with a Las Vegas casino and many legitimate worldwide enterprises. Coco and Sam become a couple and they travel to Africa where they discover the plight of elephants. She is discovered by a famous photographer, not only for her obvious beauty but also for her empathy with wild animals. She becomes a supermodel and actress and travels the world. Her relationship with Sam comes to a breaking point and a long-buried mystery is comes to light.

P.S. Meronek takes the character of Coco into a life of danger, glamour and excitement. There are many changes in time and setting but somehow the plot flows smoothly. As the mystery of Coco's childhood is gradually exposed, there are moral and business decisions for her to make as an accomplished 25-year-old. She is a complex and fascinating character whose jet-setting life doesn't rob her of kindness. Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek delivers a unique and suspenseful romantic adventure.

Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek: This thrilling novel is the story of underage stripper Coco Stevens. The stripper runs into a dangerous Mafia don during a raid on his club. She gets attracted to his personality and they fall in love. Her success as a stripper commences from there. Under the masterful guidance of Sam, she sees herself rising and finds herself becoming a jet setter, super model, and a woman with a lot of power. She knows it is a dangerous game and she has to play it masterfully. Will Sam and Coco live a live of sins and glamour or will they be able to find a way out of it?

The book takes you on a a ride across the exotic locales of the world. The story is compelling and riveting. The power angle of both the characters is enhanced very well. The story is highly complex with a lot of action and suspense in it. The rise of Coco from a stripper to a model to an actress is charted very well and her rising graph is excellently sketched by the author. Sam's character as that of a Mafia don complements Coco very well and it speaks of power and more power.

The theme is complex but filled with suspense. There is a lot of action and fast movement in the story which keeps the reader glued to the book. The surprise twist at the end makes it an even more thrilling story than I imagined.

For lovers of Romance

“Old folks don’t lie to their friends. They don’t have the time.” – Claire Anderson

Stay Another Night by P.S. Meronek is an interesting read but it is a little confusing at times. The story follows Coco Stevens, a former stripper, and her relationship throughout her life with mob boss Sam Spielman. This book is romance mixed with a little bit of mystery.

Meronek’s character, Coco, is very likeable and has a heart of gold. The chapters bounce back and forth in time, with no indication of whether it is in the past or present. The only way to know is to continue reading the chapter which makes it a little confusing. Coco’s relationship with Sam is also a bit confusing. When the book started off I thought I was supposed to hate Sam and perceive him as the enemy. Towards the middle I am not sure what my feelings are supposed to be, much like Coco. Perhaps this is exactly what Meronek wanted. Coco seems naïve at times and a little too perfect. I wish I could have 1/10 of the luck she has.

All together the story is good and keeps the reader interested. I do wish there was more about Sam’s past and a little more mobster action. Maybe Meronek can write a book from Sam’s view one day? I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read romance.
