Callie James presents an average high school in which there are everyday students. One of the students wants to pay another student for protection for her brother from the school bullies. Pretty soon this turns into a down spiraling event in which everyone wants protection from those same school bullies or other ones. Of course the protector was picked because he is the most feared in all the school. Everyone now has to cope with the huge and unexpected changes about to take place, both in their personal and public lives. Student Bodyguard for Hire has plot twists and romance that will make you not want to put it down.
When reading Student Bodyguard for Hire, I really didn't want to put it down. I loved the romance between the characters and I was captivated by the whole story. Callie James did a great job in creating a romance between two of the most opposite characters and I loved it. I felt as if I was in the book, almost like I was Peyton at points. Somehow I felt I could relate to the book and the characters. It's almost as if I envied a fictional character because of how perfect her life seemed at the same time. It was like the perfect romance that every high school girl wants, including myself. The story developed very nicely and had a great ending. I thought throwing in little bits of Spanish here and there was interesting as well. It made the book unique.
