Shannon Condon is an award-winning writer and has been writing since her early teens. She graduated Phi Kappa Phi from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. In 2014, she had the opportunity to become a full-time writer and the result is the Magdalena Series. It follows protagonist, Maggie Curran from a newly orphaned fifteen-year-old to an adult with a family and career as a black ops assassin. Shannon loves to write suspense/thrillers and crime mystery. Keeping the reader on the edge of his seat with unexpected twists and turns is what motivates her. She is currently taking a hiatus from the Magdalena Series to explore a new genre. Her upcoming book is a crime thriller. She likes to travel to the locations where her books are set whenever possible to immerse herself in the culture and bring genuine details to the settings.

Shannon is a mom to three amazing boys and after living in different parts of the country has been in North Carolina for twenty years. Watching her sons live their dreams is a constant inspiration for her.

Subterfuge is the fourth installment of Shannon Condon's Magdalena Series. Black ops operative Maggie wants a humdrum life with her two children and seemingly committed boyfriend, Mark. However, her life turns upside down when she is called upon by her father's covert agency to stop a Russian crime lord from extending his influence. Maggie finds herself once again being involved as an undercover concierge whose mission is to assassinate Russian crime boss Valdev Belevich. Meanwhile, Raul Perez, the owner of El Palacio in Spain, wants nothing more than to rid himself of Valdev Belevich's orders. When Maggie ingratiates herself further with the enemy, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to maintain control.

Author Shannon Condon weaves yet another installment involving spies, friends, family, romance, and action that pulls you in and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Maggie gets increasingly more intriguing as she fights her way through a paradoxical society where she deals with her family and friends and finds herself amid colleagues and foes while dealing with her own complex motives. The plot moves at a blistering pace, with twists and turns that keep you hooked throughout the pages. Maggie's relationships with her friends and family drive the narrative. Her dynamic with Mark was one of the most compelling aspects of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed Subterfuge. I couldn't get enough of Maggie's adventures fighting crime, and I would highly recommend it to readers who enjoy sleuth stories.
