Kirsten Hathaway brings us romance and suspense in Sugar on Snow. Jessica, Maya, and Bridgit are sisters of the heart, and they have been since kindergarten. So, when Jessica leaves her frustrating dead-end job and ends her relationship with her absent boyfriend, they are there for her. Desperate for something new and different, Jessica decides to purchase the property of her deceased great-uncle and start a new venture in rural Vermont; Douvton. What Jessica doesn’t know about a Bed and Breakfast she will pick up soon enough. Maya joins Jessica to assist with various smaller projects and to learn more about her mysterious pen pal, Logan. However, it seems that Douvton harbors more secrets that put the friends’ lives and futures in danger.

Author Kirsten Hathaway has created a story of friendship that any female reader will envy. Themes of strength, resilience, and an unbreakable bond saturate these pages where the female characters are concerned. Character descriptions and mannerisms have been done with exceptional attention to detail, which makes them likable and relatable. The plot is interesting, and the pace is steady, leading you calmly from start to finish. Written from the perspectives of various characters, the narrative style helps to bring all the loose ends together to make this a cohesive story. This novel is suitable for young adult readers as well. Sugar on Snow is one of those books ideal for a rainy day and if you feel the need to escape for a bit.

Great Book!

This was such a fun read. I sat in my egg chair and read it cover-to -cover. It was filled with excitement and suspense.
